What It Didn’t Do
It’s just as important to be honest about what didn’t change.
Icing didn’t:
- Clear my skin
- Remove dark circles completely
- Change my skin type
- Replace a proper skincare routine
It’s not a miracle solution. It’s a small addition—not a replacement for good habits.

What Was Slightly Challenging
Even though it’s simple, there were a few things to consider.
First, the cold can be uncomfortable at the beginning—especially if you’re not used to it. The first few mornings, I almost wanted to stop after a few seconds.
Second, you have to be careful not to overdo it. Holding ice too long in one spot or using it directly on your skin can cause irritation. That’s why wrapping it in a cloth is important.
And finally, consistency matters. Doing it once won’t change anything. It’s the daily habit that makes a difference.
Would I Keep Doing It?
Yes—but casually.
I wouldn’t rely on it as a major skincare step, but I’d definitely keep it as part of my morning routine, especially on days when I feel tired or my face looks puffy.
It’s quick, free, and actually works—at least for what it’s supposed to do.
